CHIP HANNA & THE BERLIN THREE : Old South Jamboree

Now coming into his own musically after years of touring the world as drummer for Punk stalwarts US BOMBS and ONE MAN ARMY, CHIP HANNA has returned to the roots that he never quite left, this time packin`a flattop Martin acoustic guitar, instead of a drum kit. While born in Baton Rouge LA, CHIP HANNA grew up in the rural community of Pride LA, between Sandy Creek and Mill Creek on Carson Road. A house trailer that was brand-spankin’ new when he was six years old, but had seen better days by the time he left Louisiana at age 22. Chippy’s mother, Martha Hanna, would sing at The Old South Jamboree in Walker, Louisiana and on the country radio station WYNK in Baton Rouge,LA , when the station would broadcast local country music shows from the OSJ. Hanna even shared the bill with Loretta Lynn there once… Quite a big deal for a small child… CHIP HANNA remembers every bit of it… CHIP HANNA remembers his roots… CHIP HANNA teaming up again with his great friends Andy Laaf (Drums), Tex Morton (Guitar/Lap Steel) and Valle (Stand-up Bass): THE BERLIN THREE. The follow-up to "Chip Hanna & The Berlin Three", "Old South Jamboree" was recorded and mixed at Wild At Heart Studio/Berlin during Oct/Nov '07 with Uli-Church Of Confidence, and mastered by Thommy Hein. Included are performances by friends Uli-Church Of Confidence, Tony Martinez of Four Bill Stall/The Hey Boys, Trinity Sarratt of Kamikaze Queens and Ed Csupkay as himself... When it comes to Americana music, CHIP HANNA is the real deal.
